Newcastle midfielder Mikel Merino is on the radar of some of the top Spanish teams such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao, according to Spanish reports.
Merino has impressed many since joining Newcastle United over the summer, putting in some fantastic performances from the defensive midfield position and as a result, the 20-year-old is on the radar of some of the top teams in Spain.
The likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao are said to be interested in Merino, who only joined St. James Park in the recent summer transfer window from Borussia Dortmund.
Although it is still early days in this new transfer story, it is safe to believe that Newcastle will not sell their new star for cheap and the chasing team will allegedly need to pay excess of £17.6million to land the talented midfielder.
However, the aforementioned clubs have the resources and they will surely not shy away from splashing cash if it is necessary.
