Rangers latest moves show they are set to finally compete with Celtic

Rangers have failed to provide bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic any form of competition of recent, and aren’t even the second best team in Scotland.

The Gers are currently 6 points behind the Hoops on the Premiership log, and are a lesser side in terms of quality and worth.

However, Rangers’ latest moves hint at a better future, and they could prove capable of challenging for the top prizes in the near future.

The Ibrox outfit have secured the futures of promising teenage midfielder Jamie Barjonas and defender Aidan Wilson, with the former recently signing a new 4-year deal.

The club are also in the process of renewing the contracts of more players in the coming weeks, as they look to tie down their best talents and prospects.

Rangers are also still in search of a top and quality manager to succeed Pedro Caixinha, and will be looking to strengthen the squad when the winter transfer market opens in January.

It could take a while before they finally establish themselves at the top of Scottish football again, but their latest moves show they are on the right path.
