WWE Superstar Sheamus irked citizens of Manchester on Monday by wearing a Liverpool shirt at a WWE event which was held in the city.
Sheamus, who is originally from Ireland is a fan of the Reds and used the opportunity to wear his club shirt to irk fans of his clubs historical arch-rivals Manchester United.
During the WWE event, Sheamus took to the ring alongside his tag team partner Cesaro to battle for the tag team Championship.
After emerging victorious, the duo left the ring in Liverpool shirts to the anger of the crowd who were watching.
The 39 year old professional wrestler Sheamus further irritated the fans watching by singing Liverpool’s signature club anthem, “You’ll Never Walk Alone”. He also mocked the Manchester locals by claiming that Liverpool “always gets the gold”.
Sheamus would have certainly had much to be happy about recently as Liverpool have responded to their 4-1 defeat at the hands of Tottenham last month by claiming three successive wins.
