Tottenham attacker Heung Son-Min has revealed that he feels that he is not as yet in the same class as South Korean compatriot Park Ji- Sung.
Over recent seasons, Son has established himself as a more than useful candidate to provide cover as well as support to main striker Harry Kane and he scored the goal which secured victory for his side against Crystal Palace this past weekend.
The goal against the Eagles also meant that Park became Asia’s leading European goal scorer. Despite breaking a record which will arguably make him one of Asia’s best ever players, Son has chosen to remain humble and insisted that he is not yet on the same level as Park.
He said: “I have broken the record, but I still have a long way to go to catch Park. I scored, but good players do more than that.
“I had a number of chances. I am disappointed to score just the one goal, but the important thing is that we got the three points.
“I scored many goals last season and that has raised expectations, but if I think too much about that it can affect me.”
