Former Manchester United coach interested in Sunderland job

According to reports, former Manchester United and Everton star Phil Neville is keen on the taking up the challenge of managing Sunderland while he has rejected the opportunity to reunite with David Moyes at West Ham.

The Black Cats are on the lookout for a new manager after parting ways with Simon Grayson following their poor results this season.

Robbie Stockdale and Billy McKinlay are in temporary charge of the club and oversaw the team falling to the bottom of the Championship standings following their loss against Middlesbrough during the weekend.

Neville worked as assistant manager at Valencia while his brother Gary was manager and also worked as a coach at Manchester United while Moyes was in charge is keen to manage the Black Cats and launch his career as a manager.

He has also reportedly rejected the opportunity to work as a coach at West Ham under Moyes who is set to be appointed as the clubs new manager.
