Ian Wright predicts the result of the clash between Everton and Watford

Former Arsenal star Ian Wright has said that Everton will lose when they take on Watford this Sunday in a Premier League clash.

The Toffees head into the fixture on a poor run of form having only taken eight points from ten games this season. They were also dumped out of the Europa League this week by Lyon.

Watford have been a surprise package this season picking up 15 points so far. Though they have lost their last two games, Marco Silva will be hoping to see his team return to winning ways.

Wright believes that the Hornets will win the game comfortably and predicted 3-0 victory for them. He wrote: “There’s a lot of pressure on the players at Everton and I think that’s showing in their performances.

“I can’t see anything other than a win for Watford and ultimately I think that means Everton need to do away with any thoughts of getting the likes of Carlo Ancelotti, Sean Dyche or Eddie Howe in the dugout.

“Lose this, and I think they will, and it’s a survival specialist in the shape of a Sam Allardyce that they’ll need if they are to avoid the dreaded relegation trapdoor.

“The Hornets are well organised and very energetic and against a defence playing like Everton’s you can see goals coming. I wouldn’t be surprised to see David Silva’s men take this one 3-0, a tempting pick at 28/1.”
