After Tosun, Newcastle interested in yet another Besiktas player

Newcastle are said to be interested in signing Besiktas midfielder Tolgay Arslan in the January transfer window, according to Fotomac.

Newcastle have been linked with Besiktas forward Cenk Tosun in recent months and now it looks like another Black Eagles player has caught the attention of the Premier League side in the form of midfielder Tolgay Arslan.

Arslan is the latest name linked with Newcastle United, who are said to be looking to sing a midfielder to provide cover at the center of the park.

Isaac Hayden, Jonjo Shelvey and Mikel Merino are the only senior midfielders preferred by Rafa Benitez at the moment, which means that if any one of them gets injured, the Magpies will get seriously stretched in terms of the players capable of covering in the position.

As a result, Arslan is reportedly in Newcastle’s radar as a January target to provide the necessary cover at the middle of the park for the Magpies.
