Newcastle United are interested in offloading Aleksander Mitrovic during the upcoming January transfer window, according to the Chronicle.
Newcastle tried to sell Aleksander Mitrovic during the summer but the Magpies failed to offload the forward due to lack of interest for the Serbian.
Despite possessing a lot of quality, Mitrovic is short tempered and also lacks the discipline which means that the Serbian could be a liability and as a result Newcastle are now actively looking to sell him January.
A move for Mitrovic away from Newcastle makes sense now as the Serbian is way down in the pecking order at St. James’ Park and it is arguably for best for both parties involved.
Manager Rafa Benitez will be hopeful of receiving extra funds from the sale of the controversial forward to reinvest the sum on other sectors during the transfer window.
