Arsenal legend Martin Keown has said that Sam Allardyce must be rubbing his hands together after Everton lost 3-0 to Lyon in a Europa League encounter on Thursday.
The result knocked the Toffees out of the competition and extends their miserable run of form this season.
Keown said: “Huge decisions isn’t there ahead. Watford at the weekend, followed by Crystal Palace. Can you go into that game with a manager with the experience that David Unsworth has?
“I wonder if now Sam Allardyce is rubbing his hands together, surely he needs to get to that Everton job quickly.”
The Toffees are currently in 18th position on the Premier League standings after taking just eight points from their opening ten games.
They have lost five matches in all competitions in succession and all three of their games under interim manager David Unsworth following Ronald Koeman’s sacking.
Allardyce is currently the favorite to succeed Unsworth as manager while Burnley boss Sean Dyche is the second favorite.
