Outspoken Manchester United legend Roy Keane has blasted Real Madrid for their performance against Tottenham on Wednesday in the Champions League, claiming that “they didn’t seem at it”.
The defending European Champions fell to a 3-1 defeat against Maurico Pochettino’s side who won through a brace from Dele Alli and a goal from Christian Eriksen.
This extends the frustrating run of form that Zinedine Zidane’s men are going through after they also fell to a shock defeat in the La Liga against Girona last weekend.
Keane was happy with the way that Spurs played but was also critical of Real’s body language and they way that they looked when they did not have the ball.
He said: “Real didn’t seem at it with their body language. Of course they always have the quality to hurt you, but without the ball they were shocking in terms of closing down, in decision making from world class players.
“You still have to take advantage of that, you’ve got to go out and still do the business, and we don’t want to take anything away from Tottenham, but Madrid don’t look themselves.”
