German side admit interest in signing Liverpool man

German club Wolfsburg have admitted that they are hoping to sign on loan forward Divock Origi. After falling down the pecking order at Liverpool ahead of this season, Origi was sent on a season long loan deal to Wolfsburg.

The Belgian has been impressive for the German club so far, having scored three goals from six Bundesliga games. Many Liverpool fans will certainly be hoping that Origi’s loan is used as a means for him to regain confidence before returning to Anfield.

Wolfsburg Sporting director Olaf Rebbe has however indicated that his club may look to secure the services of Origi on a permanent basis. He told Bild as reported by Liverpool Echo: “We will chat about what might be next some time before the summer.

“At 22, Divock’s an extraordinary forward. He’s exhibiting his talent here right now. For his part, Origi says he’s happy where he is. I feel really well here.

“It’s a nice club and I am having a good time. I can grow here. And you can never rule anything out in football.”
