Bologna forward Simone Verdi, who is reportedly a top target of West Ham, looks set to remain at his current club at least until the end of the season.
The 25 year old has shown some impressive touches in the Serie A this season and played for the Italian national team against Macedonia early on in October.
In addition to the Hammers, Verdi is reported to have attracted the interest of Serie A sides Roma, Napoli and Inter Milan. Bologna are languishing in 12th position on the Serie A standings at the moment and it is likely that Verdi will consider a move away from the club at the end of the season.
His agent Donata Orgnoni has however revealed that he will not be leaving Bologna during the January transfer window. Orgnoni said as per RomaNews: “Interest from Roma? Right now there’s nothing.
“I’ve never heard from Monchi, it’s an interest we’ve only heard about in the newspapers. At the moment there’s been no offer from Roma.
“Everything is closed with Napoli at the moment, the player is thinking about his season with the Felsinei.”
