Crystal Palace defender James Tomkins has revealed that he feels that his side deserved more than just a point following their 2-2 draw against West Ham.
The Eagles looked set for yet another defeat before Wilfried Zaha scored late on during the second half to seal a draw for his side.
Tomkins had two good chances to seal victory for his side but was denied through fine saves from Joe Hart. Had the 28 year old converted at least one of the chances that he had, he may have sealed a much deserved three points for his side.
He has since revealed his disappointment at having missed, saying: “The first one I could have got a bit more power in it and the second one the goalkeeper managed to save it from close range.
“Joe Hart may have come under criticism recently but he made two good saves off me which is frustrating as I was looking to score against my old team but it didn’t quite happen, but at least we got a result from the game in the end.
“After half time we came back with two good goals and it’s a bit of a positive at the end of the day and we certainly didn’t deserve to lose the game that’s for sure.”
