Newcastle United plotting a swoop for Championship star

According to a report published by The Sun, Newcastle United are eyeing a possible move for Wolverhampton Wanderers man Conor Coady.

The report added that West Brom are also interested in the player who is versatile, being able to operate as both a central midfielder and centre back.

Coady, who is said to be valued in the region of £7 million, has started in all but one of his sides 13 Championship encounters this season and is an important member of the squad.

Wolves are currently on top of the Championship standings with 29 points from 13 games and considering this, they will probably not be willing to listen to offers for Coady in January.

Coady is very inexperienced in the Premier League and only boasts one senior appearance in the top flight which came while he was on the books of Liverpool.

He is however very experienced at Championship level having made more than 134 appearances in the second tier. If he continues to demonstrate his worth for Wolves, he could represent a good value for money signing.
