Newcastle United are trailing Wolverhampton Wanderers star Conor Coady, with the view of signing the Englishman during the January transfer window – according to the Sun.
Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez has made a shortlist of the targets he wants to sign in the January transfer window in order to make Newcastle more competitive and it is believed that Wolves star Conor Coady is among the names included.
Coady is a versatile player who can play both at the center of the defense and in defensive midfield and is regarded very highly in the Championship, with many teams from the Premier League currently trailing the ex-Liverpool man.
Amid widespread interest, Newcastle United are said to be the favorites to sign the former Huddersfield man who is only 24-year-old and still has a long career ahead of him.
However, a move away from Wolves might not be the top priority for Coady as the Midlands side are leading the Championship table at the moment and are favorites to get promoted to the Premier League.
