Slaven Bilic could leave West Ham for shock national team job

According to a report published by TalkSport, West Ham manager Slaven Bilic could leave his job in order to become manager of the United States national team.

Bilic has come under intense criticism this season following the Hammers bad start to the season. The East London club have claimed only eight points from their opening nine games and are only not in the relegation zone due to goal difference.

Should the club lose against Crystal Palace in the Premier League this weekend, it will be difficult to see him keeping his job.

Bilic was previously manager of the Croatia national team for six years and this is thought to have made him a contender for the United States job.

The United States are aiming to rebuild after they failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup. This marks the first time that they have failed to qualify for the tournament since 1986.
