Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that defender Phil Jones will return to action for his club this weekend when they take on Tottenham in a Premier League clash.
Jones was forced to leave his sides 2-1 defeat against Huddersfield during the weekend as a result of a knee injury.
This will be a major boost to United considering that the 25 year old Jones has been in great form so far this season and the Red Devils have also conceded just twice while he has been on the pitch this term.
Mourinho has now confirmed that the player will be able to start for his club this weekend, saying: “I think Jones will be [ready] because today he told me If I needed him he will be ready. So he will be even better by Saturday.”
Meanwhile Tottenham will fancy their chances considering that the Red Devils are expected to have to make do with key players Maroune Fellaini and Paul Pogba, who are injured.
