Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has slammed the defending of Liverpool.
JurgenKlopp’s side have come under intense criticism this season for their defending and the woes at the back were once again on display this past weekend as they fell to a 4-1 defeat against Liverpool.
The Reds are currently in 9th position on the League standings with 13 points and they are already 12 points adrift of Manchester City who are at the top of the standings.
Klopp’s men are in action on Saturday in the Premier League against Huddersfield Town. Though the Merseyside club are the better team on paper, the match could be a difficult encounter given that Town managed to cause an upset victory over Manchester United last weekend.
Begovic said: “They don’t look like they want to defend. Their first thought isn’t defending. As a unit, they look all over the place. Communication is a big part of the game, maybe that’s not there. They don’t take the pride it takes to be a defender. Against Spurs you will have to defend.
“Sometimes the ball has to go and you do your basics. From the first minute they didn’t understand they could be in trouble.”
