West Ham eyeing a shock move for former manager as replacement for Bilic

Sam Allardyce has been linked with a shock return to West Ham should Slaven Bilic be sacked by the club.

Reliable West Ham fan site Claret and Hugh have claimed that the club are considering approaching Allardyce in light of their current situation.

The Hammers were targeting a place in the top half of the table at the beginning of the season. However they are so far struggling given that they have only taken eight points from their opening nine games and if things do not improve soon, they could be facing a relegation dogfight.

Friday’s 3-0 defeat against Brighton and Hove Albion leaves Bilic on the brink despite David Sullivan saying before the game that the Croatian will be given until the end of the season to turn things around.

Allardyce has been without a job since leaving Crystal Palace at the end of last season and he will be an ideal candidate for the club to appoint should they face a relegation battle.
