Leeds handed boost as Bristol City suffer crushing blow ahead of clash

Leeds United are looking to arrest a run of poor results when they visit Ashton Gate to face Bristol City on Saturday.

The Whites have managed to pick up just 3 points from their last 5 games, and will give all their best in order to emerge victorious against the 4th placed side on the Championship log.

The Elland Road outfit have been handed a boost ahead of the clash, as the hosts have been dealt a huge injury blow.

City’s midfielder Korey Smith tore his hamstring during last weekend’s goalless draw against Burton, and has been ruled out of further action.

The English midfielder has been one of the Robins’ most important players this term, featuring in every of their 12 Championship games till date.

With Smith unavailable, it can be argued that Bristol won’t be at full strength in the middle of the park against Leeds.

Lee Johnson’s side have only lost once in all the 15 games they have played this season, and have proven tough to beat.

The Whites will hope to capitalize on their injury woes, and indeed, Thomas Christiansen’s men have a better chance of leaving Ashton Gate with a result with Smith missing in action.
