Leeds United interested in signing quality German Bundesliga attacker

According to recent reports, it is believed that Leeds United are interested in signing Werder Bremen forward Aron Johannsson in the upcoming January transfer window.

Johannsson’s future with Bremen looks uncertain as the American international has failed to impress during the earlier part of the Bundesliga season.

This uncertainty of Johannsson’s future at Bremen has led many to speculate about a potential move away from Bundesliga for the 26-year-old and Championship side Leeds have recently been touted to be the most likely destination for the striker.

The American will not be the first player to be signed from Werder for Leeds should he join the Whites as they have already signed Felix Wiedwald from the Bundesliga side earlier during the summer transfer window.

Johannsson joined Bremen from AZ in 2015 for a reported fee of €4.5 million and Leeds will need to pay a similar sum to secure the forward.
