Sam Allardyce expresses interest in managing the US national team

According to reports, former West Ham and Newcastle manager Sam Allardyce is interested in managing the United States national team.

The Stars and stripes are without a manager since Bruce Arena recently resigned after they failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

Allardyce has also been out of work since he opted to leave Crystal Palace at the end of last season. ESPN have stated that Allardyce is keen to explore the possibility of returning to international management with the United States national team.

Allardyce is a very experienced manager and it will be a major coup for the United States if he ends up joining them.

The Yanks are also currently in a state of turmoil after they failed to reach the World Cup for the first time since 1986

Allardyce is someone who is known to rebuild teams and get the best out of players who are not technically the most talented and this could benefit them.
