According to reports, Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has been informed that Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho will be joining the Catalan giants in January.
Coutinho became a priority target of Barcelona during the summer after they lost Neymar to PSG. The Spanish giants also made three bids for the player, all of which were rejected by Liverpool.
Coutinho was keen to move to Spain and join the club that many South American legends have played for, he even handed in a transfer request to Liverpool to try and make a move happen.
Barcelona are trying to keep Messi as happy as possible considering that his current contract expires at the end of the season.
Don Balon has claimed that Messi as well as other members of the Barcelona squad are awaiting the January arrival of Coutinho.
Should the deal go through Coutinho could become the long-term replacement for veteran Andreas Iniesta.
