As per the Mirror, London clubs West Ham and Tottenham have registered interest in securing the services of 20-year-old PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergwijn.
The youngster is widely regarded as one of the brightest potentials of Dutch football, and he has proven so by establishing himself in the first team of the Eredivisie club.
Bergwijn has also been a regular with the Netherlands youth teams, and is being tipped to play a crucial role in the rebuilding of the senior national squad after they failed to qualify for Russia 2018 World Cup.
The youngster is capable of playing on both flanks, and has been in fine form this season, scoring twice and assisting once in 7 Eredivisie starts.
Bergwijn has also attracted Bournemouth due to his brilliance, but the London duo stands a greater chance.
His current contract with PSV runs until 2021, but for the right price, he could be playing Premier League next season.
Spurs boast of riches in attack, and while the playing chances of the Dutch youth international will be limited should he move, the club’s policy of giving youth a chance could convince into agreeing to a switch.
The Hammers too aren’t short of quality options upfront, but they could do with more competition, and Bergwijn should be able to provide some.
