Rangers handed massive injury boosts ahead of crucial cup semis vs Motherwell

Rangers are 90 minutes away from reaching the final of the Scottish League Cup where a meeting with Celtic likely awaits, and manager Pedro Caixinha has enough quality within his squad to choose from.

Only 2 players, Lee Wallace and Jordan Rossiter stand between the Gers and a fully fit squad, as the trio of Niko Kranjcar, Danny Wilson and David Bates has since returned to full training with the first team.

Kranjcar and Wilson stepped up their fitness by playing in the Development Squad’s win over Dundee United on Friday.

Having missed out of the matchday squad that faced St. Johnstone last weekend through injury, veteran striker Kenny Miller is also back in action.

Captain Wallace is said to be progressing in his recovery, and would very much return to training in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

A return date for Rossiter will be decided before the weekends, and Caixinha will hope the 2 return on time in order to boost his selections.

The Portuguese has a chance to win his first trophy with Rangers, and with almost everyone available, no excuses will be tolerated if the team fails to beat Motherwell on Sunday.
