Former Liverpool star Emile Heskey has stated that Philippe Coutinho will end up leaving the Reds to join Barcelona.
Coutinho was a priority target of the Spanish giants during the summer who made three bids for him, all of which were rejected by JurgenKlopp’s team.
The Brazilian was keen on a move and handed in a transfer request to the Merseyside club to try and make a transfer happen.
Coutinho was on fine form last season and played a big role in helping Liverpool finish the Premier League in fourth place and qualify for the Champions League. According to reports this week, Barcelona will again attempt to sign the player in January.
Heskey has now said about the Coutinho situation: “I don’t think Coutinho should leave Liverpool, but I think he will go to Barcelona.
“Every player in the Premier League would have their head turned by Barcelona or Real Madrid, they’re two huge clubs.”
