According to Tuttosport (via TEAMtalk), Juventus are keen on Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho, as they see the Portuguese as alternative to another of their midfield target, Liverpool’s Emre Can.
West Ham have maintained interest in Carvalho despite failing with a £23million bid in January.
Liverpool are also linked with the Euros 2016 winner, as they hope to replace him with their German midfielder should he eventually leave.
Meanwhile, Everton are also reportedly tracking Carvalho too, despite a hefty £36million buyout clause in his contract.
Juve are hoping to get Can next summer, but Liverpool’s stance could see the Italians disrupt the transfer plans of West Ham and Everton as regards their plan B – Carvalho, should a move for the German fall through.
The 25-year-old Portugal international has long set eyes on a switch to England, and will be a valuable asset to whichever of the trio lands him.
While Liverpool could see him as a squad player given their depth in that department, the struggles of the Hammers and Toffees at the bottom of the league log suggest they could do with such quality player within their starting lineup.
It promises to be an exciting summer transfer window between the 4 clubs, and should Carvalho impress at Russia 2018, the number of his suitors next summer is bound to skyrocket.
