Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is furious with England national team boss Gareth Southgate over the way that he recently utilized Jordan Henderson.
Southgate utilized Henderson for all 180 minutes of the Three Lions recent World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Lithuania. The second game was a dead rubber as England had already secured their qualification to the World Cup before kick-off.
As Henderson is a key part of the Liverpool side, Klopp is likely to be furious as this may have contributed to the player having match fatigue and this could have a negative effect on his performances.
Whilst commenting on the situation, Klopp said: “England played a friendly game on an artificial surface – it was a qualification game but they had already qualified – and I was not happy that Hendo was on the pitch to be honest with all the problems he’s had in the past,” “It made no sense.
“We cannot be involved in this. The all make their own decisions. No manager of a national team asked me so far before a game ‘How would you line up?’.”
