According to reports, Spanish giants Barcelona are planning a £120 million swoop for Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho.
The Brazilian was a priority target of Barca during the summer transfer window and they reportedly had three bids rejected for him. The player himself also wanted the move as he handed in a transfer request to the Reds.
The club’s chief executive Oscar Grau confirmed on Wednesday that it is their aim to bring the 25 year old to the Nou Camp.
Grau said, “We are ready to buy Coutinho in the winter market, or any player the technical staff request. But it is important to adjust ourselves, so if there are to be arrivals, there must be exits.”
This will surely have to be a source of worry to Liverpool fans considering that Coutinho is one of their main and most talented players.
If Coutinho ends up leaving in January, it could also harm the Reds chances of trophy success this season.
