Ex-Liverpool man says Emre Can will be a good signing for Juventus

Former footballer Alex Manninger, who spent last season with Liverpool before retiring from the game, has said that Emre Can would be a good signing for Juventus.

Can’s future with Liverpool is currently the subject of speculation as he has yet to agree to a new deal with the club with his current one set to expire at the end of the season.

The 23 year old Can has established himself as a key member of the Reds squad and has made 138 first team appearances in all competitions since joining the club from Bayer Leverkusen in 2013.

Can has been strongly linked with a move to Juventus and Manninger believes that he would be a good signing for the Old Lady of Italian football.

He told Il Bianco Nero: “He [Can] is young and is a player I’ve always admired. He is still young but is definitely very strong. He plays like a veteran. He knows how to defend and how to score goals.

“Juventus will make no mistake if they sign him. He has great charisma and never wants to lose. He has Turkish blood but German technique.”
