Match Preview
Portugal has been one of the best teams in these qualifiers, currently second in Group B with 24 points and a goal differential of 26. A Selecção has won eight consecutive games in this competition, most recently coming off a 2-0 win against Andorra. Cristiano Ronaldo marked his 15th goal of the tournament in that game and Andre Silva marked his eighth to give Portugal the three points from the game. The southwestern European side has won all four games at home in these UEFA qualifiers and the home-field advantage could prove to be the difference in this game.
Switzerland is currently leading Group B of the tournament with 27 points but only has a goal differential of 18. La Nati is undefeated and defeated Portugal 2-0 at home in the first matchday of this qualifying stage.
The Western-Central European side is coming off a dominant 5-2 win against Hungary at home but will have a much tougher task in this game away from home against a much more talented team. Both teams should give a tremendous fight for the three points with the spot in the 2018 FIFA World Cup on the line and this should prove to be one of the better games in this final round of the qualifiers.
