Liverpool hand Barcelona warning regarding Philippe Coutinho

According to reports, Liverpool have warned Barcelona that Philippe Coutinho is going nowhere even if they submit a £100 million bid in January.

Coutinho was a priority target of the Spanish giants during the summer transfer window after they lost Neymar to PSG.

Liverpool subsequently went on to reject three bids from Barcelona for the player, the last of which was said to be worth £118 million.

The Brazilian wanted the move and handed in a transfer request to Liverpool, however they remained firm on their stance and refused to sanction a sale.

The Catalan giants are expected to once again test the resolve of Liverpool in January.  Liverpool however will again likely not be willing to negotiate.

Coutinho is a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans and one of the most gifted players in the Liverpool squad so it is not hard to see why the club do not wish to sell.
