25-year-old says he is intent on making it at Liverpool

Liverpool striker Danny Ings has revealed that he is hoping to find a way back into Jurgen Klopp’s first team plans.

Ings moved to Liverpool during the summer of 2015 following impressive exploits for Burnley.  However injury problems have seen his progress curtailed and he has made just 12 appearances for the Reds, scoring three goals.

He has also not started for the team or scored a goal since Jurgen Klopp was appointed as manager. After making his comeback from an ACL injury with an appearance off the bench in the League Cup, Ings suffered yet another frustrating injury to his other knee during a game against Spurs at Anfield.

Despite the frustrating circumstances that he has undergone, the 25-year-old is determined to find a way back into Klopp’s first team plans and said, “Everywhere I have been, I have always found a way to make it happen. I have been in a lot of tough situations at previous clubs where it has been hard to break in.

“People from the outside looking in will probably have the assumption, ‘Oh, he’s the forgotten man’ but it has not crossed my mind at all. I still believe in myself. I still believe I can play in this team.”
