Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has revealed that there is still a long way to go before he can return to action however he did add that progress is going well. The DR Congo international has been out of action since December after suffering a serious cruciate ligament injury.
He started some ball work last week as he aims to make a return. Despite having only played 16 times for the Toffees prior to his injury, Bolasie looked impressive and fans will be looking forward to having him back in action especially considering the current situation of the club.
When talking about his situation, Bolasie said, “I’m just happy to be back out there and moving about the way I can. I’m getting stronger by the day and I’m looking forward to coming back.
“There’s still a while to go but I’m happy with where I’m at. At this stage, I couldn’t ask to be in a better place and everything just seems like it’s clicking into place.
“I’ve got time to practice some things that I need to, so I’m happy. The fans… have always been on my side since I’ve been injured. Now I’m looking forward to coming back and showing them what I really can do.
“I believe they’ve seen a side of me at Crystal Palace and I’m sure I can provide that side but even better.”
The Merseyside club are struggling in the Premier League after taking just several points from their opening several games and they sit just two points above the relegation zone. Therefore, the return of Bolasie will be a huge boost.
