According to Calciomercato, Juventus could make a move for Liverpool star Emre Can during the January transfer window despite the clubs chief Beppe Moratta suggesting that they will not do so.
The German internationals current contract with the Reds is set to expire in the summer and should he not renew it, he will be able to leave on a free transfer during the summer.
Calciomercato have claimed that Marotta’s “I don’t think it will be in January’ claims was just made to not annoy Liverpool who are frustrated that the midfielder is not renewing his contract with them.
Liverpool could sell Can in January and gain some cash from a sale; however this is likely to only take place if they can manage to secure the services of Naby Keita early.
Keita is set to arrive at the Reds next summer, however if the Merseyside club can offer RB Leipzig extra cash, they could secure his signature earlier.
