Leeds United reportedly could land Premier League attacker in January

According to reports, Liverpool striker Danny Ings could be set to make a step down to the Championship during the January transfer window and join Leeds United.

After joining the Reds during the summer of 2015, Ings has been blighted by injuries and since then has only made 12 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals.

He has since returned to full fitness but is currently playing with the under 23’s team and it seems like he is currently surplus to requirements at the club with the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino and Dominic Solanke all above him in the clubs pecking order.

Considering that Liverpool are also out of the League Cup, Ings is unlikely to get first team football anytime soon.

Therefore, there is a good chance that Leeds will make a bid in January and Ings could serve as a good replacement for Chris Wood who joined Burnley this summer.
