Tony Cascarino has criticized Swansea City’s summer signing Wilfried Bony saying that the player looked lazy against West Ham this weekend.
Paul Clement’s side are not in the best of form as they are winless in their last four Premier League games and have suffered consecutive defeats against Watford and West Ham.
The Welsh outfit are currently in 18th position on the League standings with five points from seven games and should things not improve soon, they could face a relegation battle once again as they did last season.
The two players who arguably played the biggest role in helping the club avoid relegation last season, namely Gyfli Sigurdsson and Fernando Llorente are gone and this could make things a bit more difficult. Bony was brought in as a replacement for Llorente.
Cascarino however was disappointed with the striker who managed only 13 touches against the Hammers and feels that he may not return to his best.
Cascarino said, “Tammy Abraham is only 20 and on Saturday when he partnered Wilfried Bony for Swansea against West Ham, he looked like he could have been playing alongside his dad.
“Bony looks so far away from his old form I’m not sure how long it will take him to get it back — if he ever will. He was so lazy and looked uninterested — he only had 13 touches, right, none inside the box, and was taken off at half-time.”
