According to reports, Everton, Leicester City and Chelsea could be set to compete in the race to sign Middlesbrough defender Dael Fry.
The Toffees are low in confidence following their dismal start to the season which has seen them taking just several points from their opening several games.
Though their attack is weakened drastically after they lost Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United during the summer and failed to replace him, the Toffees defence has also been below par.
Michael Keane has not hit the ground running since arriving from Burnley while Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams are struggling to cope with the intensity of the Premier League as they continue to age. Ramiro Funes-Mori has also proven to be inconsistent.
Fry has impressed in the Championship since breaking into the Boro first team and has made 11 appearances in all competitions this season. He will surely be tempted by an offer to play in the Premier League.
