Italian giants Juventus appear to have ruled out a possible move for Liverpool star Emre Can during the January transfer window. The Old Lady of Italian football tried unsuccessfully to lure the German this summer.
Can has yet to sign a new contract at Anfield and with his current deal set to expire during the summer of 2018, Jurgen Klopp’s side may have to either find a way to sell him in January or they will risk losing him for free at the end of this season should he not commit to a new deal.
Juventus were linked with a possible move for the player In January. However the club’s chief executive Beppe Marotta appears to have confirmed that a bid will not be made when he said, “We don’t think we are going to make a big signing in January. We have faith in this team and in these lads.
“As for Emre Can, I don’t think Liverpool will sell him in January. We made an offer for him in the summer but the Reds didn’t sell him so I don’t think they’ll change their mind in the middle of the season.”
