Thomas Chrisitiansen slams Leeds United players as soft

Leeds United manager Thomas Christiansen has slammed his side for being soft as they lost 3-0 to Sheffield Wednesday this weekend.

The loss means that the Whites have slipped to fifth place on the Championship standings and they have lost the positive momentum following their early encouraging results.

The Whites next play in the Championship after the international break against Reading, who are struggling and who occupy 20th position on the standings.

The game against Reading will be the perfect opportunity for Christiansen’s men to return to winning ways and regain confidence.

Whilst speaking after the game, a frustrated Christiansen said, “If you can give me another word it will be fine but from my point of view we were not strong.

“When you have to compete in a league like this you have to be ready to compete 100 per cent, 120 per cent, making all the challenges like it’s the last one in the game.

“We went out in the first 20, 25 minutes and did quite well and had our opportunities. After that we conceded two goals too easily. We’re too soft in both boxes when the ball is there and we have to improve a lot in that sense.”
