Everton manager Ronald Koeman has dismissed talk suggestions stating that his club are in a crisis ahead of their game against Burnley on Sunday.
Despite having spent heavily on bolstering their side during the summer, the Toffees have so far been less than convincing and have taken just several points from their opening six matches.
Due to the club’s underwhelming performances so far, questions have been raised over Koeman’s future at the club and he was booed off by a section of the crowd during their 2-2 Europa League draw against Appollon Limassol this week.
The Toffees did manage to get themselves out of the relegation zone with a 2-1 victory against Bournemouth last weekend and they will be aiming for nothing less than a win when they face off against Burnley this weekend.
Koeman said about his future, “I am too long in this job to lose my confidence. Yes, I am worried about the situation and how we can turn it around, but I have enough confidence to be the same manager I was for the last six or seven years, when I was successful.”
“You can lose against Chelsea, you can lose against Tottenham, you can lose against Man(chester) United and we played 10 more games, and we lost one of 10 (which) is really positive to this situation.”
