Newcastle United star Ayoze Perez has good memories of playing against Liverpool and his hoping to once again cause frustration to the Reds when the Magpies face off against them on Sunday.
Perez scored the only goal of the game in 2014 when the Magpies snatched a victory over Liverpool and he is looking to once again inflict defeat upon Jurgen Klopp’s mean who are not playing with the highest level of confidence and who look to be weak defensively.
The Magpies on the other hand, have been playing impressively lately having won three out of their last four Premier League fixtures though they did lose to Brighton last weekend.
Perez looked back at his fond memories of playing against the Reds and is hoping that his side can do well.
He said, “A few years ago I scored the winner against Liverpool and I will never forget it. I had the pleasure of scoring a winner against a famous club. It was a great feeling and hopefully next week is the same feeling for me.
“It’s a big game against a top side. It’s always hard to play against this team and we have to do our job and be ready,” “In this league anybody can beat anybody, so we have to make sure we’re ready.”
