Manchester United great Gary Neville has expressed his desire to see French forward Antoine Griezmann at Old Trafford.
Greizmann was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United over the summer but a transfer never came into fruition as Atletico Madrid were not keen on selling the attacker due to their transfer ban.
Now with Diego Costa arriving to the club, Atletico could be more open to parting with Griezmann for the right price and United legend Gary Neville has revealed that he would love to see the 26-year-old at Old Trafford, before backing the forward to succeed for the Premier League giants.
Speaking to Stretty News TV the United legend said, “We can get a lot better. I’d like to see one more flair player in the team. I’d like to see a winger who can beat a man and get everyone on the edge of their seat.
“Having been in Spain for four months, I love Griezmann. I would love to see Griezmann at United. He’s quick, he’s inventive, he can beat players [and] he can score goals.”
Greizmann has set the La Liga alight during his time there with Real Soceidad and Atletico Madrid. The Frenchman has gone from strength to strength over the years and has risen to establish himself as the main man of Los Rojiblancos, who now finally challenging the duopoly of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The stylish forward now looks set to make another jump in his career and could make a move to the Premier League by joining Manchester United, which would certainly please Neville.
Greizmann is among the best players in the world at the moment and he will be a must buy from Manchester United’s perspective, should the Frenchman be made available.
