Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson has admitted that his side’s defence needs to be improved.
In the six Premier League encounters which the Reds have played in thus far this season, they have conceded 11 goals and this is something that has to be improved if they wish to have a good season.
The Reds defensive woes also cost them dearly in the Champions League so far as they have played out to disappointing draws against Sevilla and Spartak Moscow and currently have two points from two matches.
Robertson has been handed limited opportunities so far this season but with the likes of Dejan Lovren and Ragnar Klavan in particular failing to deliver, he is bound to be given more opportunities.
The Scotland international admitted that there are problems at the club and said, “I do believe as a group we can get better defensively and I can be part of that.
“As a group we have to work together to get better defensively because, if the midfielders can help us and the strikers can help us, then as a team we’ll improve.”
