Rangers will attempt to bounce back from weekend’s Old Firm defeat when they visit the Super Seal Stadium to face Hamilton on Friday.
As a result of the 2-nil loss to Celtic, the Gers are now 5th on the Scottish Premiership table, 8 points behind the league leaders and 6 points behind 2nd placed Aberdeen.
Anything less than a victory against the 8th placed hosts will further heap already-mounting pressure on Rangers and manager Pedro Caixinha.
However, the Hamilton first-team has been weakened by injuries and suspension at the moment, and that should give Rangers the upper hand.
The Accies will be without the midfield trio of Darian MacKinnon, Grant Gillespie and David Templeton, as the latter two are out injured, while the former is set to serve a one-game suspension for the red card he picked up during weekend’s game against St Johnstone.
The Accies could also be without first choice goalkeeper Gary Woods, who was forced off with an injury early in the second half against St Johnstone.
Rangers should be boosted with the series of unfortunate incidents that have befallen their next opponents, and are expected to bag all 3 points without much stress.
SFA confirm 1 league match immediate ban for Darian MacKinnon, so he misses Friday v Rangers
