Everton striker Oumar Niasse has revealed that he holds no grudge against manager Ronald Koeman.
When Koeman arrived at the club prior to the beginning of last season, it appeared that Niasse had no future with the club after he was deemed surplus to requirements and shipped out on loan to Hull City.
It was expected that Niasse would be sold this summer, however after the Toffees failed to find a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who joined Manchester United, he was handed a life line at the club.
Niasse has so far done well during his second chance and scored three times last week, once during his clubs 3-0 Carabao Cup win over Sunderland and twice during Everton’s 2-1 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday.
Niasse has now revealed that he does not have any grudge towards Koeman after being frozen out and said, “It was a difficult time for me but I wouldn’t say anything against anyone here or against the team.
“He [Koeman] just said this was a new opportunity for me. I didn’t want to go over the past with him. There is nothing to say about that.
“He said [last year] I wasn’t ready and maybe I wasn’t ready. I went away, I learned and I have come back stronger.”
