Leeds handed huge injury boost for Cardiff clash; Only one ruled out currently

Leeds have a chance to further prove their promotion credentials on Tuesday when they visit Wales to battle Cardiff City for the league leaders bragging rights.

The Welsh team, alongside Wolverhampton Wanderers who face off against 4th Sheffield United on Wednesday, are all level on points following 9 Championship games.

A win for Leeds and they could pull clear ahead of their closest competitors, and manager Thomas Christiansen has enough selection headache to deal with, as every player of the squad, bar Caleb Ekuban is fit for selection.

The Ghanaian international has missed Leeds’ last 7 matches with an injury he picked up in the 2-0 win at Sunderland in mid-August.

However, Swedish centre-back Pontus Jansson, who failed to make the matchday squad against Ipswich, has now been cleared to return to action.

Christiansen left the 26-year-old out of the 3-2 victory as a precautionary measure following a minor muscle injury and suspected hamstring problem he sustained in the previous weekend’s 1-0 loss at Millwall.

With a quality squad at his disposal, the manager wouldn’t have any issues getting his selection process right for the crucial Cardiff clash.
