Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has revealed that he feels that his side did not deserve to lose as they went down 2-1 to Everton on Saturday.
The Cherries took the lead in the game after Josh King put them in the lead and they looked confident of gaining points.
However a second half brace from striker OumarNiasse ensured that the Toffees picked up their second win of the season.
Howe insisted after the game that he felt that his side deserved more and said, “You’re never happy when you lose.
“I don’t think we deserved to lose today, I haven’t seen the goals again – I’ll have to analyse them – but when you have possession of the ball and you give it away and concede that is something for us to look at.
“From our perspective we have to be pleased with the performance, even though the result has gone against us, that can’t be lost.
“For a long period of the game you’d say it was a really good away performance, we were good out of possession, we were good without the ball, we were good on the counter-attack.”
It was widely believed that Niasse would be sold during the summer as it was believed that he was surplus to requirements at the Merseyside club.
However he has scored three goals during the past week as he netted during the club’s 3- 0 Carabao Cup win as well as twice during their latest Premier League encounter and this will surely force Ronald Koeman to give him a second look.
