West Ham star Antonio makes a vow to the fans

West Ham star Michail Antonio has vowed that he will soon start scoring goals on a regular basis again. Antonio was one of the best Hammers players last season and at this time last year around, he had five goals to his name.

The England international is yet to score his first goal of this season after returning from injury which he suffered in April.

The 27-year-old will look to regain the form that saw him win the Hammers player of the year last season. He will also be aiming to try and make Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the 2018 World Cup.

Whilst discussing his personal goals, Antonio said, “It’s been a bit of a rusty start – I was out for four months, but don’t worry, the goals are coming! I’ll catch up.

“I love attacking. I love scoring goals – it’s why I play football, but [goal droughts] are part of parcel of the game. I will be ready and I will start scoring soon.”
