According to reports, Everton star Wayne Rooney has hired a bodyguard whom he knew from his time with Manchester United to drive him to training during his two year driving ban.
The 31-year-old Rooney was arrested early on in the month after being found to be three times over the legal alcohol consumption limit while partying with 29-year-old Laura Simpson.
Damian Hall, who is known as “Big Ginge”, will be the man that will transport Rooney from his home in Prestbury, Cheshire to Everton’s Finch Farm facility.
Hall was previously employed by Controlled Solutions Group who deal with the security issues of Manchester United.
Hall accompanied Rooney into court on Monday when he pled guilty to charges of drink-driving. He was slapped with punishment of 100 hours of community service and a two year ban from driving as a result.
Rooney is no stranger to controversy off the field and hopefully this will be his last transgression.
